This month your Nourished Magazine edition comes to you from Woodford Folk Festival. Wes and I are having a break to be refilled with the inspiration of passionate performers, speakers, artists and world changers from, indeed, all over the world. We’ll watch Claude Lewenz speak about Sustainable Human Scaled Villages as well as many other speakers and join workshops; dance, comedy, choir etc. Most of the artists are unfamiliar to me so choosing who to go see is quite daunting. There’s a certain state of mind we slip into however - The Woodford Vibe - which makes it easy to let majick take us where we need to be at any one moment. I remember last time we went how hot it was and how tempting an ice cold Guiness is at the end of the day. Pray for me dear Nourishers that I don’t succumb to the temptation. The coolness is momentary and I’ll only awake the next day with symptoms of heat that I really don’t need (itchy rashes, pimples, dry sore eyes, crankiness) and doing my yoga to start my day won’t be quite so appealing. So please pray the Goddess inspires me to keep it clean this holiday. I want to come back after a break feeling better not worse so we can kick some well Nourished butt in 2008.
This Year
We have some wonderful things planned for the Nourished Community.
A whole new community of Nourishers is joining us via the directory. We know they’re excited to be part our family and are looking forward to connecting with you. We also know you have been waiting for some time for a place to find Nourishing products, Wise Practitioners and Wise Foods in your region to help you build your Nourishing lifestyle. Not only have we created this with the directory, we have involved our Sponsors deeply in our community by giving them a Sponsor’s blog each. Now you can ask all those questions you whisper to yourself when you see their products in the stores. You can congratulate them on leading the way into a brilliant future, encourage them to make the changes you’d like to see in their industry and support them as they support our vision.
Mid year, we’re hoping to move into video casting, pod casting and simplified lessons to help you transform your life. To accomplish this we hope to find a fabulous sub editor who can become part of our team. If there’s anyone you could recommend, ask them to contact us with a resume and some examples of their work.
We’re also considering expanding into the US with a totally new Nourished Mag edition and directory built for our US readers.
Dear Nourishers, if there’s any improvements you can see we could make to ensure your visits are more inspirational and you feel more involved in the community, please let us know.
To show our appreciation for your support we have arranged some awesome subscriber prizes.
This year we’ll up the ante with more prizes for readers and bloggers and special offers for everyone. Last years winners were very excited and grateful for their prizes and the Sponsors who gave prizes enjoyed all the attention they got. So this year there’s bigger prizes with more options to win. Starting with our Nourishing Pack.
This month, subscribers can win: organic, fair trade coconut oil and skin products from Nui Generation, exquisite high vitamin fermented cod liver oil and butter oil from Green Pastures Australia, a Nourished Magazine organic t-shirt, and Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon. That’s $350 of Nourishment up for grabs. Share the Love participants who pass forward their Nourishing Newsletter could win a batch of Kefir.
Our first Birthday
Nourished Magazine is a year old and boy have we grown up. We now are a strong community of 20 bloggers and many contributors. There are 18,000 readers coming to share the Wisdom to Thrive By each month and 1,200 subscribers who want to know more. Nourishing businesses are flocking to us to join the directory and share with you their vision of a Nourishing world. We’re so happy to be able to continue to inspire you to Nourish yourself, your children, our earth and most importantly our hearts. Thankyou for making it possible for us to dream a bigger dream. Blessings, Joanne
