United States Department of Agriculture has plans to give an Orwellian touch to owning any type of farm animal by forcing the owners of animals to register them with a national animal identification system. From the daughter’s pony to the back yard chooks, every animal is to be chipped and accounted for.
The stated purpose of the program is to enable government to trace, within 48 hours, the source of a faulty animal food product. If the government is really looking out for the health of the People of the United States, why are they forcing small producers out of business, which of course this mandate will do? Food production will be left up to the food conglomerates who grow animals in cruel, cramped and disease promoting conditions to make a buck. While these laws have yet to be been posed in Australia, we must be alert, we’re not far behind big brother America. We are after all the “Sheriff of the Pacific” aren’t we?
Henry Lamb writes in World Net Daily, “The effect of the program is the transfer of the control of private property to the government - while forcing the property owner to pay the cost of the transfer.”
Sneaky.
