When I first saw these photos I couldn’t believe the beauty I beheld. Also, I couldn’t believe my former beliefs about what the Middle East was like. Decades of news reels showing devastated cities, dust and ugly war pollution had lead me to believe the Iraq, Iran, Kuwait and other Middle Eastern countries were horrible, god forsaken dead zones. How wrong what I?
These photos, Clive recently sent me are stunning.
This looks like it’s in medieval Europe. It may have been built at the same time but is most certainly not European. I always thought Middle Eastern countries were dry desolate places.
This castle is so beautiful. Just like a fairy tale.
Can you believe this beautiful green lawn. It’s not destroyed, dusty and decaying.
Positively Civilised.
Green and beautiful.
Incredible Design.
Can you see the Goddesses in the triangles in the ceiling? Makes you wonder about what we’ve been told about misogyny in the Middle East.
So much for bleak, sandy, desolate and ugly cities. Yes, that’s snow.
lush
beautiful
pristine
untouched
Nature. Check out the sheep grazing. I wonder who gets to eat the fresh raw milk, and cheese, home made yoghurt and feta.
Almost makes you want to live there.

Check out the movie “The colour of paradise” based in Iran. About a blind boy who has to leave his family. Stunning green landscapes and sad but beautiful story. You get almost to feel how this boy literally feels the world rather than seeing it. reading brail through ripples in nature etc..magic movie.
