Thank you all for reading and responding to the book review on Chris Bryson’s The Fluoride Deception. I’m so encouraged by the intellectual curiousity and emotional clarity that Independent Thinkers are showing in astounding numbers around the globe.
And to Anita specifically, of course you’re absolutely dead on with all your facts. NO surprises to those of us who have been indulging in this issue for a while. I’ve learned, however that facts simply don’t persuade anyone who isn’t already open minded. I was trying to target an audience who absolutely believes in fluoride’s safety and efficacy in all forms. I was trying to just slip in a tiny wedge of curiosity, and not to bombard them with too much at once. Some health care providers honestly believe fluoride is a nutrient! It is too easy when hearing the more accurate Truths for the first time, to simply dismiss them and the messengers as impossible. That is precisely why The Fluoride Deception is such a fabulous addition to the “dialogue”. This book leads us through the facts with such compelling evidence, but in a way that excites our curiosity. It’s an honor to be part of the discussion with you all. C

It is important to remember that industry’s equally toxic bedfellows in launching the fluoridation scheme were various arms of the government as well as the state dental directors of the ’40s and ’50s. Since then, the U.S. Public Health Service with its State and County foot-soldiers, officials from the Centers for Disease Control, and unquestioning dentists have been the dominant promoters of fluoridation.

P.S. I forgot to mention that your local county health department should have the AWWA Standard for Fluorosilicic Acid B703-06 (2006).
The Foreword gives the source and process evolving the fluoridation agent.

Dear Claire, I just received the AWWA Standard for Fluorosilicic Acid B703-06. This is the most often used agent as it is in liquid form and easier to apply to water systems. The Foreword gives the source and process evolving the fluoridation agent. Pages 8 and 13: “Fluorosilicic Acid–Contaminants” list some in the commercial-grade heavy metals as; Arsenic, Lead, Berylium, Uranium and Radium 226 and 228.
If for no other reason, this toxic brew should never be used in our drinking water. Toothpastes use a USP pharmaceutical grade of Sodium Fluoride or SodiumFluorophosphate. Yet they warn you not to swallow even a pea-size amount of this “clean” grade!
Oh, and one more thing, the phosphate fertilizer industry here in central Florida is the “Source”!!
And they are top polluters of the environment. Cargill Fertilizer just merged with IMC Agrico to form “Mosaic”, sounds nice and clean, huh? They are our local source for our fluoridation here in St. Petersburg, Florida

Great article, and timely with the release yesterday of the National Academy of Science’s new report advising EPA that its standard for fluoride in drinking water is not protective of public health.
