Wow, a new edition. Nourished Magazine has become a very exciting venture to be involved with this last month:
More bloggers joined us, welcome Miriam and Susan. Miriam’s sharings about her family, her childhood and her very lucky pigs are joyous and uplifting. Susan has shared an excellent pattern for Earth Nourishing Moon Day Pads. Thank you sister’s in Nourishment and welcome to our community. Please feel free to welcome our new comers yourself, dear Nourishers, by leaving a comment on their blog.
We’ve improved out Browse Blogs page so you can more easily read what other’s in our community has to say. Like Henriette’s idyllic and inspirational lifestyle in Denmark, Rebecca’s soul searching posts about her Nutrition degree and Maria from Virginia’s critique of main stream media’s treatment of Nourishment. Karen from Food for Thought was busy writing a review for this month’s edition of Nourished Magazine but you can expect to read more inspirational posts from her and our other Nourishing crew of bloggers. Thankyou for supporting us by commenting on posts and feel free to Start Your Own Blog.
This month a new era began. Nourished Magazine now operates from our new 7 metre diameter Mongolian Yurt in our back yard. Green Habitat Solutions, one our our sponsors, delivered the yurt this month and we’re chuffed with it. It’s like being outside without the sun, wind rain and midgies causing problems. Working from here feels like we’re in a womb and nothing can disturb us while we create our dreams. And, of course, when the doors closed, everyone knows, leave us be. It’s great.
We’ve also released the Nourished Directory. Watch it fill up with Nourishing practitioners, products and services over the next few months and please let us know if you have any more suggestions. Please, dear Nourishers, encourage our new directory members to blog by asking them questions in their comment section. Let’s create a free flowing exchange of information. That’s what we’re here for.
We have a very exciting Prize for you this month. All subscribers will go into the draw to win a CAMPO grain flaker from The Schnitzer Mill company. Make your own Porridge, Granola or Bircher Muesli with this great hand flaker. Ideal for preserving the nutrients in fresh whole grains, this grain flaker is an excellent addition to any Nourishing Kitchen. It’s adjustable so you can roll flakes or just press your soaked grains a little. You can also crush rock salt with the CAMPO. From 30 years of European know-how, Schnitzer has developed a reputation for mills which offer quality function and durable performance. We’re very excited to offer this prize to a lucky subscriber this month.
Also our pass it forward prizes this month are 5 tubs of Witches Brew Anti Aging Cream with good old fashioned organic pasture fed lard and whey. Skin care, grandma style. It works.. Just click the €˜Share the Love’ tab on the top of your newsletter and you just may win one.
There’ll be no Carnival of Nourishment this month as I’ll be busy preparing for the Organic Expo. Three of us, Wes, Susanne and myself, are taking care of The Weston A Price Foundation exhibitors stall at the Organic Expo. Come and say Hi if you’re in Melbourne.
Nourished Subscriber numbers have hit 720 and are growing at a rate of 4 a day! Hello all you new Nourishers and welcome to our community. Please feel free to comment on any articles in this month’s edition, our authors will answer. If you have any questions for Sally Fallon, we’ve named her goddess of Nourishment much to her chagrin, please email us.
About the Author...
Joanne Hay, Editor of Nourished Magazine, Chief Nourisher and Mother of three is very grateful to live in Byron Bay and be able to share all she has learned about Nourishment. She has trained as an Acupuncturist (unfinished), Kinesiologist (finished) and parent (never finished). She serves the Weston A Price Foundation as a chapter leader. She loves sauerkraut, kangaroo tail stew, home made ice cream, her husband Wes and her kids Isaiah, Brynn and Ronin (in no particular order…well maybe ice cream first).

Update.. Our deepest apologies dear Nourishers, we haven’t actually completed the directory. There was a glitch that needs more of our time. We’ll let you know when we’re live.
