When we got married the registry wouldn’t let me put Super Hero as my occupation, they put Home Duties on our marriage certificate instead. But I AM a Super Hero and my Super Hero name is…… The Nourisher.

Health Benefits of Grass Fed Beef

By Joanne Hay

“Grass-fed beef, or beef produced from cattle finished on forage only diets, has been touted as a more nutritious beef product. There are a number of reports that show grass-fed beef products contain elevated concentrations of (Vitamin A,) Beta-carotene and alpha-tocopherol (Vitamin E), increased levels of omega-3 fatty acids, a more desirable omega-3:omega-6 ratio, and increased levels of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).”

Chico Agricultural Research Initiative.

Weston Price’s work suggested this some 60 odd years ago and finally science is catching up. He also discovered what he called Activator X, which he believed was only available in the fat of grass fed animals (dairy, meat or seafood), and seemed to improve the body’s ability to assimilate minerals and fat soluble vitamins. He found Activator X in the orange butter of the cows eating the first fast growing green grass of spring. When Price visited Switzerland he found the isolated mountain tribes lighting wicks in oil candles using the first butter of spring and placing them in their churches. They knew the value of this fat.

“In the Swiss village where Price began his investigations, the inhabitants lived on rich dairy products–unpasteurized milk, butter, cream and cheese–dense rye bread, meat occasionally, bone broth soups and the few vegetables they could cultivate during the short summer months. The children never brushed their teeth–in fact their teeth were covered in green slime–but Price found that only about one percent of the teeth had any decay at all. The children went barefoot in frigid streams during weather that forced Dr. Price and his wife to wear heavy wool coats; nevertheless childhood illnesses were virtually nonexistent and there had never been a single case of TB in the village.”

We have all be indoctrinated to some degree into the dogma surrounding animal fat by greedy agricultural corporations selling us margarine instead of butter and vegetable oil instead of ghee lard and tallow. Any wonder our people are suffering great illness and infertility.

Most lamb in Australia is grass fed. What they are dipped in is a worry though. Insecticide will end up in the fat. Ask your butcher. An Organic butcher is likely to have grass fed. Pork is not completely grass fed at all, I have only found one truly free range pork supplier in Northern NSW - Pasture Perfect Pork.
