When we got married the registry wouldn't let me put Super Hero as my occupation, they put Home Duties on our marriage certificate instead. But I AM a Super Hero and my Super Hero name is...... The Nourisher.

Wow. That's really interesting! Our daughter Charlotte (now 3 1/2) starts pre-school in February, but we hope to bring her home to home-school her before she starts kindy (as soon as health permits!). I have friends who home-school and their kids are so confident and settled.

I find it interesting that the main objection people raise to home-schooling is the lack of "socialisation" and yet the socialisation at schools as far as I remember included bullying, elite "cool" groups that excluded those that weren't "beautiful" or popular and pressure to fit in to name a few! It's also the only place where you are mixing with a group of people you may have nothing in common with except that you are the same age.

I know it's not for everyone, but I am really excited about the opportunity to have such a huge part in my kids education and lives. Thanks for the encouragement!
