In India the mother is the center of the family and our highest ideal. She is to us the representative of God, as God is the mother of the universe. It was a female sage who first found the unity of God, and laid down this doctrine in one of the first hymns of the Vedas. Our God is both personal and absolute; the absolute is male, the personal, female. And thus it comes that we now say: ‘The first manifestation of God is the hand that rocks the cradle’ €“ Swami Vivekananda

In contemplating the recent August 15 th birthday of the Divine Mother Amma Padmavati, it is good to reflect on the re-emergence of the sacred feminine in the world today. One of the cultures that has kept the recognition and worship of the divine feminine fairly intact throughout its long 5000 year-old recorded history is found in the spiritual culture of India from the Vedas to the present day.

God’s full embodiment on earth in the form of the Avatar was always accompanied by the divine feminine in Her form as Sita (with Rama), Radha (with Krishna), Yasodhara (with Buddha), Lakshmi (with Chaitanya), Parvati (with Siva), Sarada Devi (with Ramakrishna) and Amma Padmavati (with Bhagavan). She is Shakti, the Mother Power, she is Kundalini. When the Avatar and His Shakti come, we get to witness one great being in two beautiful forms.

From the Hebrew Biblical and Kabalistic traditions the word Shekinah is associated as a feminine noun with the divine Goddess, the divine feminine Presence that brings prophetic vision, joy and creativity, and with the Holy Spirit.

The Divine Mother is associated with Hegia Sophia and the Gnostic understanding that Sophia once represented God’s feminine soul and the source of His power. Hegia Sophia is sacred wisdom and is represented by the dove.

From this understanding & origin of the essential truth of the sacred feminine and Her appearance on earth, distortion and untruth crept in as the divine consciousness decreased its Light between the last Golden Age and the present transition from the Kali Yuga to the re-emerging new Golden Age in today’s world.

Over the last 5000 years of patriarchy (Mayan understanding of time) the world has witnessed the suppression, torture, death and defamation of the sacred feminine in many cultures and religions. We don’t have to look far for many examples from his-story€¦ viewing the companion of Yeshua (Jesus) as a prostitute and hiding the fact of their companionship€¦ the torture and killing of a million or so Cathars in the south of France (more women than men) who were followers of Mary Magdalene & the Gnostic Yeshua€¦ the torture and burning-at-the-stake of thousands of “witches” during the Salem Witch hunts€¦ the maltreatment and suppression of women in many modern day Islamic countries€¦ female genital mutilation in modern day Africa, the Middle East and the Far East€¦ the many unnecessary surgeries performed on women (more than men) as reported by Dr Mendelsohn in 1982 in his book entitled MalePractice, etc.

Her Re-emergence in Modern Times

My first encounter of the divine Mother, aside from reading about Mother Mary and the various Shaktis of the Avatars, was meeting Alo Devi in 1970, the companion of Heart Chakra Master, Sri Chinmoy. I remember one day receiving a rose from her during the inauguration of the Garland of Divinities Love Flower Shop in Jamaica Queens. When I walked away after receiving the rose and from looking in Alo’s eyes and went back to my original standing place in the store, a flood of Kundalini Shakti came into my being and powerfully entered my heart chakra. This was my first experience of receiving Kundalini Shakti through the eyes of an awakened divine Mother.

(Sri Chinmoy himself, orphaned at the age of 12, grew up at the Sri Aurobindo ashram, where after Aurobindo’s passing (Maha Samadhi), he was guided by “The Mother”. The Mother, as she was known, was the French consort of Sri Aurobindo).

When I was living in Santa Fe New Mexico running my school of Vibrational Healing another embodiment of the divine Mother came to town for a Satsang. She was unknown at the time so only 9 or 10 people came to her first event. After the Satsang we went outdoors where we all received a hug from Amachi who is now known as the hugging Guru. She now has hugged 20 thousand people and more at her events.

When in India in 1989 on a spiritual tour with 90 members of the Chisti Sufi order, we went to the Papa Ramdas/Mother Krishnabhai Ashram in Kanhangad, Kerala state, south India. We arrived at a very auspicious time as Mother had just left her body. There was a celebration happening to acknowledge the Mother’s Maha Samadhi. Through Swami Satchitananda, who was taking over the reigns of the ashram, I received the Mother’s grace in the form of a rush of Kundalini shakti after touching the feet of the Swami.

In 1999, Shreshta and I went to the south of France to study medical aromatherapy. The last 4 days of the tour were spent at La Val Dieu (the Valley of God) where we investigated the mythical tradition surrounding the Magdalene energies associated with the area. We had been through a two year God/Goddess initiation process and sacred ceremonial study in Sedona and Scottsdale Arizona in the Isian/Magdalene tradition before our France tour and Shreshta was by that time a Reiki Master in the Usui and Goddess Sekhem (Egyptian) Reiki traditions. This 1999 trip began our now nine year Magical Mystical French Adventure sacred site tour and energy healing seminar to tune in experientially to the Magdalene/Gnostic Yeshua (Jesus) energies of the Languedoc region. We noticed this last trip (June 23-July 1, 2007) that, what we felt was due to the powerful energies released by the husband and wife team of Avatars on May 20, 2007, the Magdalene presence on our trip was so much more powerful. Mary Magdalene revealed her sublime Presence on many occasions during the journey, culminating and reaching a crescendo as Shreshta and I initiated all participants in the Magdalene Goddess lineage while they were sitting on the Throne of Isis (perversely and inappropriately called the Devils Chair by the Roman Catholic church to dissuade people from further investigation), a chair in the woods carved out of an ancient rock.

Next to the chair is a Magdalene source (water flowing out from the rocks). Everyone had a profound experience during this initiation, including Robert, who went into a powerful state of bliss while receiving the Oneness Blessing, foot washing, application of spikenard to his feet, and a laying-on-of-hands from the newly initiated Magdalene Goddesses.

This brings us up to the present moment and your invitation to participate in the August 15 celebration of the divine Mother Amma Padmavati. This Mother of Grace is the wife and consort of Sri Bhagavan.

Together they continue to offer the world the profound gift known as the Oneness Blessing, a process and phenomenon designed to promote the flowering of your heart and your awakening to Oneness that will be the hallmarks of the Golden Age, an age where all beings will walk and talk with God.

Predictions about the Spiritual Mother

1. In a book published in 1887 titled “The Mystery of the Ages” by Marie, Countess of Caithness (Page 316-317) the following prediction appears: “It was generally considered, at the turn of the next century, that the next Divine incarnation was about to come to earth and would be female, the advent of Divine Wisdom, or Theo-Sophia, and that the present age would be the age of making known all that which has been kept secret from the beginning.”
2. This is an extract from the Nadigranth compiled by Mr Shantaram Athvale. The Nadigranth was originally written in Sanskrit 2000 years back by the ancient astrologer Bhrigumuni and later updated & translated into Marathi and titled the Kak Nadi by Kakayyar Bhujander who was a great astrologer and seeker who lived nearly 300 years ago in India. In this particular extract Shantaram Athvale refers to the writings from Kak Nadi written by Kakayyar Bhujander:”While Jupiter is in Pisces…[happened with Jupiter in Capricorn]… a great Yogi will incarnate on the Earth. As a highly focused expression of the Second Ray, Jupiter’s energy is dualistic. It is very magnetic in its fusing power, and extremely expressive in its ability to expand the presence of Love/Wisdom as a result of the resolution of duality. On the personality level Jupiter in Capricorn represents the crystallisation of the material desires of the lower self. On the Soul level, it is this crystallised, material nature which falls away, leaving the soul centred individual as a victor over the lower self. The Tibetan, Djwal Khul says ~Love is fallen and blinded when desire is rampant; desire vanishes when love triumphs~. The function of Jupiter in Capricorn on the Soul level is to create those structures in thought and on the physical plane (Third and Seventh Rays) for the expansion of the Will-to-Love. The individual may demonstrate the Love/Wisdom of the Christ consciousness through the fusion and blending of material resources. By 1970 it will have become quite evident to many people that a new era will have started. Human life will undergo a complete revolution. This Yogi will be the Incarnation of Parabrahma and will have all the divine powers. By a new method of yoga…[Oneness Blessing]… devised by the great Yogi, human beings will be able to attain the joy of Moksha within one lifetime. While living ordinary lives people will achieve Yoga €“ Union with God. In the end all the nations of the world will come together with the feeling of oneness. There will be a great international conference in a big city of the world. The whole of the humanity will understand the importance of prayer and all the nations will unite together.Due to new scientific discoveries science and religions would become one. With the help of science the existence of God and the Soul could be proved. The veil of ignorance and Maya would be drawn aside and Brahmananda, Moksha which could previously only be attained by yogis as a result of very hard work and severe penance would become easily available to many human beings.”
3. William Blake (28 Nov 1757-12 Aug 1827) gives us this prophetic poem titled “To Morning.” Seemingly it is an invocation to what he perceived as the feminine aspect of the Divine, whom would facilitate the dawning of a new age and the unlocking of Heaven on Earth.”O Holy Virgin, Clad in purest white Unlock heaven’s golden gates and issue forth Awake the dawn that sleeps, that sleeps in heaven Let light rise from the chambers of the East”
4. C.S Lewis (1898-1963) in his book the Great Divorce describes some kind of approaching procession of great joyousness. “If I could remember their singing and write down the notes, no man who read that score would ever grow sick or old. Between them went musicians: and after this a lady in whose honour this was being done” and “Every young man or boy that met her became her son” further “Every girl that met her became her daughter” and “There are those that steal other peoples children. But her motherhood was of a different kind. Those on whom it fell went back to their natural parents loving them more. In her they became themselves. And now the abundance of life she has in Christ from the Father flows over into them.” and also…”Redeemed humanity is still young, it has hardly come to its full strength. But already there is joy enough in the little finger of a great saint such as yonder lady to waken all the dead things in the universe to life.”
5. The R.S.V. Christian Bible, Revelation, chapter 12, verse 1, tells us prophetically of a marvelous event to come, of a sign, of a woman. “And a great portent appeared in heaven a woman clothed with the sun with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars.”
6. In the Prophecies of John of Jerusalem an 11th century knight we read the following regarding ‘the Mother’ and the coming Millennium time. “She will be a great Master of the future times…..” “She will be the Mother of the Millennium that comes after the Millennium.” “After the days of the devil She will make the softness of a Mother flow. In the Christian Gnostic Gospel of Thomas this mysterious divine feminine power is alluded to in verse 101 as:- “My mother gave me birth. My true Mother gave me Life”
7. The Essene Gospel of Peace, Book 1 (Page 7), speaks of this feminine aspect of the divine as being an inner life force, as something to be realised. “Your Mother is in you, and you in her, She gives you life.”
8. In ancient writings of the Bible and also Gnostic records…the energy now known to many today as Kundalini energy is called by various names such as: Sophia, Life, Mother of the living or Wisdom. This force called Wisdom is likened to a feminine energy, and even a feminine personality … named as She and Her. In these writings the words; She…Her …Wisdom & Holy Spirit are used interchangeably to refer to this feminine aspect of the Divine. Also later known in Christian texts as the Holy Ghost, Comforter, Counsellor and Redeemer.
