The Nourisher - Editor’s Blog

When we got married the registry wouldn’t let me put Super Hero as my occupation, they put Home Duties on our marriage certificate instead. But I AM a Super Hero and my Super Hero name is…… The Nourisher.

Win a Copy of Nourishing Traditions

By Joanne Hay

Well, we’re smack bang in the middle of writing a business plan for Nourished Magazine. Aaaaah! So that’s why we haven’t posted for some time. Just to fill you in, we are creating an online monthly magazine with free subscription, monthly draws, reviews and some cool surprises. Not telling, you’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, we need your help.

We need to choose advertisers you want to hear from so we can run ads that serve you. So we need to know more about you. We’ve created a survey. If you fill it out for us, you’ll go in to the draw for a free copy of Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon, so we all win.

UPDATE: Thanks to all who contributed to our survey. We were able to discern alot about you from your answers. Eg. many of you are women between 20 and 60and many are natural health students of practitioners. Good on you for taking on the challenge of correcting our health crisis. The lucky winners of the Nourishing Traditions books are Pia from Gold Coast, Sue from WA, Heather from NSW and Leisa from ACT. Congrats and we hope you’re enjoying our most prized book.

She has trained as an Acupuncturist (unfinished), Kinesiologist (finished) and parent (never finished). She serves the Weston A Price Foundation as a chapter leader. She loves sauerkraut, kangaroo tail stew, home made ice cream, her husband Wes and her kids Isaiah, Brynn and Ronin (in no particular order…well maybe ice cream first).

  1. Dear Joanne and everyone at Nourished Magazine.

I just wished to extend my thanks for the wonderful prize of the Nourishing Traditions Cookbook/bible. Food tastes good again. I have since bought my parents a copy and a friend has also bought herself a copy after reading through mine. My partner cant get enough of the real stock based sauces I’ve made. Life’s good! The Weston A Price principles just make sense to me. Thank you and keep up the great work!
    Leisa
